Senator Byrd's legacy is successful civil rights legislation.
Only a racist, or someone who refuses to denounce racism, (we know who you are) would want his name removed from anything.

Byrd's story is one of redemption. Fox News must not have told that to teabagging Trumptards.

It is laughably weak that teabaggers presume that Byrd's story is one that should be looked upon with shame, regret, and resentment.

Those who will not denounce racism hate those who have...
(We know who you are)

Lee remained a white supremacist to his dying day...
Senator byrd denounced white supremacy and turned his life around spending the majority of his political life fighting against institutionalized racism...
Some JPP members are unable to denounce white supremacy and probably never will.

they hate him because he GAVE UP RACISM

they hate him because he GAVE UP RACISM

Right. Robert Byrd's story is an inspiring on of absolution and redemption. A man who renounced the racism he had as a young man, and spending the next half century of his life trying to make amends.

Not to mention, Byrd has the wisdom to speak out forcefully and vote against arguably the most immoral decision of the last two decades: the decision to invade Iraq.

Robert Byrd is a model of humanity and redemption.

The only reason I can think that barely educated teabaggers think they are scoring points by mentioning him, is because they know nothing of Byrd's life expect what some moron on a rightwing blog ordered them to believe.

it will be interesting to see what the trump low in the end is

we will know the amount of hard core racists in the republican party then

Yep, a lifelong KKK Grand Wizard 'gave up racism' -- cuz he said so.

LMFAO

You people give new meaning to the term, doubling down on stupid.

He was for some very unconstitutional things.... He was not pure.

He changed his fundamental political convictions, mid career...Just as Byrd did.
They both started out as squares and died as circles, to use your metaphor.
The takeaway is that you are wrong ... people can change ... and they can change 180 degrees.
