Need a new computer device

While I was trying to find my shoes today (they were in my car), I managed to make a door fall onto my laptop, breaking the LCD display. So, now it is a desktop. As of now, I require a mobile computing platform. It needs to cost like 200. I'm thinking of the Nexus 7, but I also want to develop in it somewhat, so a netbook might fit better. But. alternatively, I could just blaze new paths in developing on a Nexus 7 through ssh and remote desktop, with swyping keyboard and attached physical keyboards.


It also must not be a bourgeois computer. Only socialist computers will do.
 
for the price the nexus 7 is pretty awesome. I think the old model is even going for like 150, the new one is around 200ish, but for developing, I don't know... the thing is small. It's way smaller in person than what it looks like online. it's like a giant cell phone

I guess remote desktop could work

Well. I've developed on my phone before, so the Nexus 7 can't be that bad.

Hmm, I could buy a transformer for 300. This would be my main mobile computing device - would 7 inches be enough, or should I splurge and go for 10? Ditto for the gay prostitutes I'm ordering.
 
depends how much you care about screen real estate. Personally, I was thinking of going with a nexus 7 last summer. I thought it was a cool form factor, and portable, but then I was like....if I am at the point where I am out and about and I have to jam this thing into my pocket, (i.e. that would be annoying) I might as well just go with the nexus10.

I'm not a fan of 7 inch tablets, I think they are too big to be comfortably portable and too small for everything else. However if you just want something to be able to do stuff with, that's different.
 
Ah, you've got a nexus 10? I'm a afraid that seems to be out of the question for me, older transformers are available for <300, Nexus 10 seems to be new enough that you can't get it for less than 400.
