New Blood In The Senate: Thanks Tea Party!

You know, I'm not a fan of the tea party.

BUT, I'm also not a fan of entrenched politicians. Who either get the job from their parents or because they were selected.

And they stay on for 20 years+ and lose sight of why they were elected in the first place - to serve the people.

I'm looking at you Tom Daschle, Chris Dodd, and Arlene Specter.

I'm also glad that we have some nepotism senators being defeated like Lisa Murkowski and Bob Bennett.

Its time for some new blood in the Senate. Whether they like tea, coffee, or root beer, it doesnt matter.

What it does matter is when Senators get too comfortable in their seats and use the Senate for personal gains.

Much easir to believe that someone hijacked his account.

Otherwise we have to assume that he grew up. Or he got laid.

Ive always belived we should have a good mix of new blood and experienced entrenched members of Congress.
 
I do y best to research all the candidates and vote for the one who will best serve our needs.

But I never expect much from them once they are elected. And they haven't let me down.

Even though I knew better I made the mistake of having really high hopes for W. in 2000. I will never do that again with another politician.
 
Corruption is better than insanity. The 4 tea party senate candidates are too insanely radical for me to be glad that they won over incumbents.

For the house, at least, the party is becoming increasingly more important than the person. This is especially true if you're voting Republican, because Republican congressmen almost never dissent from the party line.

In the senate, of course, they have a lot more independence. But the pattern there is becoming increasingly bipolar as well.

If W and his 8 years are viewed with an open mind, and not through the eyes of partisans, his tenure was neither as bad as lefties see it nor as good as righties see it....7 years of a solid growing economy and people had jobs....
a devastating terrorist attack...and a demand from EVERYONE to do something about Saddam and imagined WMD, plus revenge for the attack on the WTC.....faulty intelligence, fighting an enemy that resides all over the world,....etc...no President goes through his term without some mistakes made....that just the way it is and always has been....
