They should make a film about robot Lincoln:

Who was created shortly after his assassination, to rise up and take glorious vengeance on the south.

There is a new film about Abraham Lincoln coming out next year, directed by Steven Spielberg starring Daniel Day Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader and Sally Field. I wonder how close to reality it will turn out to be, I can see the controversy even now.

Thus far I have seen Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans (loved it), Gangs of New York, and There Will Be Blood (hated both of them), so seeing his name is a bit forboding. I expect it will be good, and not attempt to put me to sleep the way the last one did.

Sounds promising.

I imagine the plot will centre on the interaction between Day-Lewis's Lincoln, a hard drinking maverick politician with a stormy home life...and a hair-trigger temper, and his straight-laced do-it-by-the-book VP Hannibal Hamlin, played by the dog off of Turner & Hooch.

Will these mismatched partners be able to rescue Lincoln's sexy kidnapped wife, played by Jessica Alba, from the villainous clutches of Eddie Murphy's Jefferson Davis before The Battle of Gettysburg begins...in just 24 hours? Inevitably hi-jinx ensue.

As Hollywood loves Brits to play the villain, how about Gary Oldman or Tim Roth as John Wilkes Booth?

Well that depends. If the screen writers have Dixie's or 3D's knowledge of American history then it will be completely divorced from reality.
