Republicans tend to want to execute people....Lieberman Democrats also want to execute people.... I havent forgotten the comments of Desh and Darla :)

I'm guessing everybody else here pretty much thinks its a good thing....

Agree. America tends to overuse the death penalty.

I mean, Britian, a nation of 50 million people, has 30 people in prison for life without parole. California has 10 times that waiting to be killed, and another 10,000 or so in prison for life without parole (mostly non-violent under "three strikes" or some random drug law).
 
Agree, as applied it is ineffective and expensive. I am uncomfortable with an illreversable punishment, I also belive that vengence is best left up to God.
 
from what i understand its cheaper to lock them up then to kill them.. so i say lock em up.. tho I know if some of these scum bags ever did these crimes to my family i would take them out vigilante style.
