The electric grid all through America is becoming less stable because of intermittent energy and not enough investment....and it is becoming more difficult to get it up again if it goes down.....this is a recipe for disaster.....this is ideology trumping self preservation.
Civilization runs on energy, I'll agree with. What you need are energy sources that are reliable, run predictably, and are economical in cost. Solar and wind meet none of those requirements, particularly solar.
In Germany because of this nonsense, people have turned to wood pellet stoves. The greentards say these are somehow "carbon neutral" as the CO2 goes back into new trees. Germany can't meet demand for wood pellets as there aren't enough forests in Germany to allow it. So, they set up factories in the US to make them. These are pollution nightmares that release massive amounts of VOC's and get fined repeatedly for air quality violations.
They plan to make burning wood and even wood pellets illegal....here in my dystopia there has been chatter of giving people 5-7 years notice then using a fireplace or wood stove will be a crime.
So, everybody will sit in the dark and freeze. Glad I don't live in NY.
