It’s official: Internal Revenue Service agents are now detailed to the Department of Homeland Security under an agreement between DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
The purpose is to provide additional immigration enforcement manpower.
These agents have been authorized under Title 8 of the U.S. Code to hunt down and apprehend criminal illegal aliens for civil violations of immigration law.
The Secretary of Homeland Security, @Sec_Noem says . . . “Instead of using Biden’s 87,000 IRS agents to take more money from Americans, I’ve directed them to help taxpayers save money, by assisting ICE in rounding up criminal illegal aliens for deportation.
