While I would love to see the drunken bastards seat go to a Rep, I find it hard to believe a Rep stands a chance for it. I would tend to believe the poll that shows Coakley up double digits. Obviously it will hinge on who shows up for the special election... but with Bubba coming to town... and the unions spooked, my guess is the Dems get to the poles to preserve drunk boys seat for the party.

marthas problem is its hers to lose and shes so careful its working against her refusing to debeat or make any stances known sort of like the liberal healthcare plan. This will be closer then the time romney challenged kennedys senate seat. The liberal boston globe poll shows her up 15points. The conservative and independent polls see it closer to even. This makes me think its prob in the middle around 6-8points.

Lets also point out that since romney left MA governor chair its been a outright drop in many important standard of living categories in MA... and the new governor is a tax fiend.

Obviously you have a better feel for it, if it is that close it should be at least amusing to see the Dems in panic mode. The fact they have to bring in Bubba to protect drunk boys seat is telling.

its sad we dont have term limits. There really should be no instance where just because a senator has been in the senate a long time they get special treatment/or know how to work system better. Most voters are stupid and think Martha is going to get the same clout as Kennedy or Kerry get because shes a dem.
