The EU Commission of unelected bureaucrats, rubber-stamped by the European Parliament, has decreed that clocks will no longer change twice yearly throughout the European Union.

What is this I hear ringing out from Sweden to Sicily and Portugal to Poland? Why, it's the Ode to Joy!

Maine, and I guess Florida, are both voting to stop the time change for Daylight Saving Time, too. In Maine, we're thinking of just switching to the Atlantic time zone and just not change for DST.

I like the extra hour of daylight in the summer evenings. I can get things done and still have a little daylight to take the backroads before dark to get a milkshake in my Cobra!
