Norwegian Kindergarten Teacher Lets Children Touch and Taste Her Blood

This probably explains why Rune is so odd!!

As a general rule, you should always avoid another persons blood from getting into your body. Customs like “blood brothers” or “blood sisters” are dangerous and have many times put people at risk for contracting various diseases. On the other hand, if you get someone else’s blood into your mouth, that’s a whole other ballgame, especially if they are infected with a bloodborne illness. The more blood that gets into your mouth, the greater the risk of infection.

The principal of the school told reporters that the woman brought in a blood sample taken earlier in the day and poured it on a plate for the children to see. According to Reuters, the children had asked if they could touch it and the temporary employee let them. “Then they asked ‘how do we get it off?’ so she put her finger in her mouth and the children followed suit,” said Inger Lise Soemme Andersen. She also added that the employee was tested for Hepatitis B and AIDS, but results are not in yet. Of course, the parents of the children are disgusted by the incident, which sounds like a scene from the HBO television series True Blood.

The chances of the kids contracting any disease from tasting her blood is probably less than the chance the kids will be struck by lightning on the playground. The enzymes and digestive juices in your saliva will kill the virus that causes HIV.

This sounds overblown to me.

Yet you still shouldn't let kids play in a thunderstorm. This was really weird, and shows an incredible lack of judgement on her part. Teachers have a responsibility to maintain basic hygeine in regards to kids, telling them it's OK to consumer her blood is clearly outside of those bounds.
