Nostalgia for the Clinton Years!

Senator Clintons popularity only says one big thing to me, even though people dont like her she is more popular than I ever thought she would be...

Its because people wish to go back to the Clinton era where the biggest thing we had to worry about was if Bill got a blow job or not.

The economie was great.
Conflict was minimal.
The Dollar was strong.
Pollution was on the waine.
We had a goal with regards to Global Warming.
No Americans were dying in Iraq.


People wish Gore had won in 2000 and are looking to correct that, the closest thing to him running currently is Senator Clinton.
 
If they are looking for old times back they will be disappointed because not even Senator Clinton can do that.

If they are looking for a strong leader with forign policy know how and ability. A leader who can get the U.S. back on track. They may be plesantly suprised.

Clinton just got lucky. He rode the tech boom to fame. Big deal. He created just about as much debt as Reagan, Poppy Bush, and Junior. It's BOTH party's fault! And I NEVER made a big deal about clinton having sex. It was all about lying under oath!

Plus, while blowjob Billy was having fun with bimbo Monica, he was ignoring the gathering threat of WMD from Iraq. I wouldn't put it past blowjob billy to know where Saddam hid the WMD in Syria.
 
There is no doubt that there is nostalgia about those years. I think America got complacent at the end of the '90's and assumed that the prosperity & relative peace we enjoyed during those years was here to stay; otherwise, the country never would have rolled the dice on a guy like Bush.

When nostalgia enters the voting realm, it becomes kind of sad. Hillary is not Bill, and her admin will be nothing like the one in the '90's. It kills me that she's been a huge frontrunner since she entered this race, on name recognition alone; this is actually one of the strongest Dem fields in ages, and it will be a real wasted opportunity if people nominate her simply for the sake of nostalgia...
