You'd think media would be interested in reporting on a court decision about the conduct of the Secretary of State in a state where we had let's say...contested election results. You'd think that but you'd be wrong.

State Court of Claims Judge Christopher Murray has ruled invalid Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's guidance issued to Michigan clerks in early October that instructed them to presume the accuracy of absentee ballot signatures.

Because Benson did not go through the proper rule-making process when issuing the guidance, clerks do not need to comply with it for future elections, Murray ruled last week.

The Administrative Procedures Act requires state agencies that are developing a rule to better implement state law to go through months of public notices, drafts, impact analyses, public comment and public hearings.

Bolded by me. Allow me to translate that for you, it means "but but but Trump." Fuck the rules, we've got an orange man to beat.

The truly heinous thing about this though is that the Detroit News didn't bother reporting this until 3 days after the decision was handed down. I first heard about this on the radio in the morning and I'm willing to bet if WJR hadn't run with this story the News wouldn't have touched it.

You know who did touch it when it broke? You're thinking national news or a paper in Lansing had to have covered this, right? Nope, one place...one...covered this the day it happened; some shit-kicker FM talk station out in Battle Creek that I've never heard of and even they didn't put this on their main page, it was in one of their hosts blog. You know who else reported on this? As of now, no one else. I guess it's not a big enough story.

Tiffany Trump can go out on a balcony in Miami and smoke a clove cigarette and I can see hundreds of pics, TMZ even got an up skirt shot but Jocelyn Benson disenfranchises an entire state...nothing to see here.
