When Israel invades Lebanon and the bodies of dead children are being brought out of demolished buildings wrapped in plastic, Condi moves Painstakingly slow. She has days, weeks, to talk very slowly on news shows and explain how bad she feels about all of the people dying, but...we need to move slowly here we don't want to rush into anything.

But hey, that's dead children.

This, is FOD (FRIENDS OF DICKS) moolah on the line here.

And boy, can this bitch move then.

Rice apologises for US security firm shootings

· Move to prevent Iraq government expulsions
· Blackwater guards blamed for deaths of eight civilians
The US secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, apologised to the Iraqi government yesterday in an attempt to prevent the expulsion of all employees of the security firm Blackwater USA.
The ministry of interior yesterday took the decision to expel Blackwater after eight Iraqi civilians were killed and 13 wounded in Baghdad when shots were fired from a US state department convoy on Sunday.

Diplomats, engineers and other westerners in Iraq rely heavily on protection by Blackwater. The Iraqi decision created confusion on the ground, with uncertainty over whether protection was still available and whether Blackwater staff should leave the country immediately.

Ms Rice called the prime minister, Nuri al-Maliki, to apologise for the shooting. They agreed to run a "fair and transparent investigation", according to a statement from Mr Maliki's office.

It added: "She has expressed her personal apologies and the apologies of the government of the United States. She confirmed that the United Sates will take immediate actions to prevent such actions from happening again."

The office did not specify whether the apology was sufficient to reverse the expulsion decision.

The Iraqi government says they are going to prosecute the offenders in this case. We will see if they get the chance to.

My guess is...if we have to trade their asses for the Iraqi goverment's decision to allow Blackwater to stay in Iraq, then they are dust.

And what will happen if the Blackwater employees are found guilty and executed ?
Either hanged or beheaded ?

Our government will cut a deal with the Iraqis, no executions. If they executed them the outcry in this country would be too loud and too big. Otherwise, they couldn't care less of course.

Do you remember when the four contractors were killed and then their bodies were burned and dragged? Our government always used that as PR. As a way to say, look at the animals we are dealing with.

But it always reminded me of something that happened in NY about ten years ago. A body was found, and it was reported on the news that the body was badly burned, and that the victim was a man who police suspected in several rape cases. But they weren't sure and had been unable to make a case.

And I thought, well, someone was sure. See, that guy raped the wrong girl. And you never heard another word about any investigation either.

Sometimes, you play with fire, you get your ass burned. That's what happened to those four contractors too. They put a bullet in the wrong head.

Okay, you're right. This appears to be about money, and the adminstration's ties to certain contractors. America has no interest is seeing american contractors shoot iraqi civilians, and then trying to talk the "sovereign" iraq government out of tossing them out of the country. Our image there is bad enough.

Bingo. The justice rhetoric for all ends at the US border.

Bruned and dragged...hmm kinda reminds me of a Gay hate murder or two in some of our more conservative states...
Good thing those Gay murderers were not muslims

Iraq should be glad that we even apologized.
