NPR: How To Deal With A Stressful News Cycle

For those that question how good we have it in America this article sums it up well. It's about helping American's cope with the stress we face over the Ukraine-Russian war. (Hopefully we can make it through this.)

Americans aren't "stressed" over the events in the Ukraine, what was our idealism has been replaced with a partisan narcissism, it is only when the effects of the sanctions hit home that Americans will become "stressed" over the Ukraine

And you to your own escape, if I am correct, Oregon tomorrow with the two big ones next week, for the first time in a long time I might even go big with Pac 12 teams in my NCAA pools and loser pools

I was being somewhat facetious in my comments. If you read the techniques the article recommends it's like how soft of a country are we? I saw someone I follow respond to this saying "we had a good run". In this instance I agree with the sentiment.

We have Oregon, Arizona and UCLA remaining. We'll be challenged. I'll be very happy if we win two of the three.

Pac 12 had three teams make the Elite 8 last year. Don't think we'll have a repeat this time but Arizona and UCLA could possibly make some noise.

What? You giving up on your own USC? Recommending only the top seed and your rival as contenders?

The ACC isn't very good, and the SEC is overrated, good teams, but questionable coaches, the Big 12 is what it always it, and Big East offers value in early rounds, so someone has to fill the vacuum

I’m not giving up. I’m going the keep expectations low route. We have a deep team and have the talent to make a run. We also don’t have a first round pick/true star.

I’m probably falling into the trap of its easy to identify weaknesses of teams your familiar with and ignore the weaknesses of teams you aren’t.

Big win against Oregon. Hate those guys. Always tough place to play on the road. We have Arizona at home tomorrow night. (Think it's during the SOTU. Any true American will watch our game of course.)

You see St. Mary's take down Gonzanga?! Great local school.
