Residents of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) were shocked early this week when illegal aliens who got in line before they did for free Thanksgiving dinners given away by local food banks left many low-income citizens without a holiday meal this year.

In the olden days, if you were physically and mentally able to work and you didn't, you went hungry. When you were hungry enough, you started working.

Exactly. I am all for helping out those truly in need of food, shelter, and medical care who are unable to care for themselves because of a variety of unfortunate circumstances. But not one red cent for the lazy. There is no excuse. Man must work for his living.
 
I just dont understand it. In these parts there are still people who are truly in need that would never accept dime one from any agency even though everyone would surely understand if they did. Their pride will not allow it. Instead they find a way and do anything they can to pull themselves out of the situation until things improve. They do anything they can to earn a buck here and there through working,...doing the jobs others would never even dream of doing. I respect that.

Our Catholic Charities feeds those children.

Biden’s rotten economy is causing hunger in America…we see it every day. One of our parishioners takes only half of his insulin every day…he is not age eligible for Medicare part D.
