This is really funny... after announcing his plans to turn NASA into a Global Warming research wing, and nixing the plans to return to the moon, and a day after Neil Armstrong delivered an extremely rare statement, chastising the Administration for it's lack of foresight... Voila! The Administration announces a mission to Mars!

thats what i was thinking....like the moon, our tech will soar if obama really puts nasa's shoulder into this and combined with private sector, we will develop the tech just like we did for the moon....we also didn't have the tech for the moon when kennedy said we are going
