Okay..... So the uber-liberal blue state voters of Massachusetts were SO pissed off at George W. Bush, they elected a conservative Reagan republican to Teddy Kennedy's seat?

its funny how obama doesn't take any responsibility for the last 8 years, despite being a, uh, us senator for 3 or those years
 
He better hope he gets some positive GDP and lower unemployment.
His stimulus resulted in way less than their projections a year ago, now he's calling for a spending freeze ala "the Mcain hatchet". He looks like a rookie scrambling to sell you snake oil you don't want.
 
Ill definitely vote republican in 2012 if its a moderate republican and not some douchebag like mccain who doesn't even know how many houses he has.. Or someone like huckleberry. spending money on creating crappy jobs is just plane stupid compared to giving tax cuts to people who actually work this country like me. Bush had it wrong by giving to much to the rich. Fuck the rich. Anyone over 500K NO TAX CUTS.. If bush tax cut had cut out over 500K we would be doing great right now.

No, it isn't. The stimulus Obama passed was half tax cuts, and those tax cuts haven't done a lick of good. It's all the infrastructure spending.

so where is the infrastructure? With that kind of money there should be commuter trains and monorails running in every city.. State of the art airports, New bridges and tunnels, and wind and solar powering all govt buildings.

Chapdog, how do you have any idea what level of money it would take to do what you describe? That would require trillions, not 350 billion.

Well I don't think there is a need for a new deal. This recession is just about over for now. Jobs will start blooming for spring in many areas across the country. Gang-buster earnings coming out from companies that were not hiring last year.

Only thing that's gonna fuck up a recovery now is interference from govt with tax increases and such.
 
Yup. Just in time, right after there is a conservative wave that takes back congress. The only thing that could kill it would be cap and trade.

Magic? Naww.... An unexplained *POOF* created the universe and all life sprang forth from a single-cell organism... THAT'S MAGIC! What I seem to confuse private enterprise for all too often, is JOBS! I know, it's crazy... it's just that, so many times, when you find the private sector, you also find jobs, they seem to go hand in hand.
