The Force is With Me
Guess what ended slavery? The lives of many who fought to end it. They took up arms.
Guess what brought it? Government.
Again, only through the example of individual sacrifice did the government take that "power" away from itself. Government didn't just "do" that. The only way to guarantee oppression is to remove the power of individuals to fight it.
See above, same answer as "Jim Crow".
Those wary of government oppression protect those rights, government does nothing without action from "not government" first.
I said before, government is a tool that should be used properly. Never did I say I don't "agree with it"... Again, this is an attempt to simplify another person's thought process rather than an attempt to learn about it.
It is the fault of people who are no longer wary to protect the rights of the minority.
You don't know my reality or where I came from. You assume it wrongly. That is enough.
Hence the reason that power is best suited in the hands of the people.
And I view government as a necessary evil that should be strongly and constitutionally limited. While government can be used by the smart society to protect freedoms, it can be used unwisely to limit them, usually because people want to feel "secure" they are often willing to purchase security at the cost of their freedoms.
It is by the exercise of freedoms that we keep government in check and change that which is unjustified.
Again, not trying to be argumentative .. but that's not my reality and fighting for freedom is not an abstract excersise.
If you truly understand the reality of the oppression of police and unjust courts against black people, then I don't need your gun to help fight against it. I need your voice, your vote, and your pen. No guns are required. Not quite as sexy but far more effective. Unless you're willing to take a stand and use your politics and voice to fight this oppression .. excuse me, but spare me the lectures about "freedom."
