Obama: US would go bankrupt without health changes

That really is a good one, hope the guy imitating him on SNL does that line and the even funnier: we'd have had 25 percent unemployment without the Turbo-lib slush fund err stimulus package.

I doubt the US would have gone bankrupt but I enjoyed his mentioning what others had said regarding Armageddon and the end of the world if the plan passed.

As prices rose only the wealthy would have been able to afford medical care. I think that's obvious to everyone.

The debate could have dragged on for another 50 years but it was time to put an end to it. Rather than bicker about how to lower costs and debate about 'this' group and 'that' group (children, old folks, the disabled, the poor, the working class families, etc.) simply state everyone is entitled to medical care.

Young, old, rich, poor.....it was time to stop the nonsense. A plan for 'this' and a plan for 'that' with every plan debated and obstructed and twisted.

The parameters are set. Everyone is entitled to medical care. The arguments, the ideas, the solutions will now be focused on one group; everyone.

That's what I agree with.

Please. They provide a much needed and educated service that cost them well over one hundred thousand dollars just to enter and most times in the multi-hundreds of thousands. Throwing the doctors under the bus in a desperate attempt to support political ideation is stupid.

Oh, please. Don't even go there.

Dozens of countries have had a government plan for 30 or 40 or 50 years and the life expectancy in those countries are just as high if not higher than in the US so either they have sufficient doctors or your imagined shortage of doctors hasn't made any impact.

You get to pick. :)
