I first saw this picture and became aware of this story, over at the Huffpo. The comments were just exhausting. Wow, if bac ever wants to find real Obama ass-kissers, that's the place. I read a couple of pages of the comments, and gave up. I didn't even try.

Here is a blog post about it at Shakespear's Sister (along with the picture in question. This is why we have feminist blogs I guess. Because even liberals are idiots. And even liberals are sexist. And the people who hang out at the Huffpo are unusually stupid for liberals.

I know this is a little thing, and no I'm not "turning on Obama". In fact, I carefully listened to him during the MTP interview, and I don't believe he's moving to the right. But you guys need to be exposed to women's issues, even when they're little things. It's not as if we need another sports thread!

And, I agree with this blog's take on this particular incident.

There were some angry people posting comments below the article. My favorite was that the two guys need to go to sensitivity training. I think it was written by Cypress.

My favorite is the guy that said they could have been mocking sexist behavior so we shouldn't jump to conclusions.

I looked - they wrote, sensitivity training on sexual harrassment Cawacko. They really mean, they need sexual harrassment training. Which most companies have now, at least once a year.

I assume you got drunk and stripped at yours?

Ha! That is one of those Obama freaks. They are always convinced that there is some deeper, liberal, meaning to anything that Obama, or anyone connected to Obama, does or says.

They're scary.

I've been to our works sexual harassment training a handful of times. I did get in trouble one year when I commented the lady teaching it was hot.

All the sexual harassment training in the world isn't going to stop acts like that.
 
I read the article/blog and agree that there is a lot of sexism out there and Hillary has had to deal with it. But I randomly picked video #59 and cannot for the life of me see how it is sexist for Katie Couric to ask Hillary if they called her frigidaire in high school.

It's a stereotype of a career woman, or as is more accurate - a woman with a career. They are often stereotyped as ambitious, driven, calculating, manipulative, and cold. The cold part especially, dates back to the middle of the last century. I can remember Star Trek episodes that are just astonishing today, because of that stereotype.

And it is sexist. Do people assume that a successful man is cold sexually and romantically? Frigid? No, of course not.

And just because a woman is asking it, doesn't mean it can't be sexist. Women fall victim to perpetuating sexist stereotypes against themselves all of the time.
 
I don't mean to single you out but Onceler as a self-proclaimed metrosexual (or was it Darla that labeled you that?) I was just curious your opinion of this and do you find it offensive and sexists or just boys letting loose? (Not trying to place a judgement on you by asking just want a different male opinion).

Boys letting loose. Wtf ever gave you, or any of the "boys" the idea that you can "let loose" and demean women whenver you feel like it and there is some biological dispensation?

LOL.. yah i guess society, tv, movies, way woman act in social situations, our animalistic mating impulse. None of that comes into play

We are Men and woman. There is no way for a man to not look at a woman and think sexually if they are attractive or sexually appealing in some way. The difference is keeping that in your head and not in your actions.
 
Ok gang, this picture was a joke. Plain and simple. The truth of the matter is, women with the same education as me make less per hour on average than I do, because I have a dick. This is a REAL issue that feminists should be STILL going off on, but no, a couple of guys, decided to be mildly boorish and THIS is what she is "disheartened" about. Sorry, I don't care. The fact is, there are soooo many more things at the top of the list that people who are worried about women's rights should be concerned about.

Darla .. c'mon sweathart ... you just figured out now that there are hypocrites to the left? Ahhh honey..shoot.., they come in all sizes, shapes and gender ... by the way... you havent seen the real numbers... have you? The numbers that show an outrageous number of Obama voters liked the fact the he is pro life and supports the Iraqi war.

I would love to see those "numbers." All I heard about was some stunt Fox News pulled where they interviewed people on the street in Harlem and edited in the one's who had no idea what they were talking about into a segment meant to prove that black people and Obama supporters are dumb. I never saw any numbers.
