Oh look, Trump lied about groceries, what a shocker

“Trump lied about food prices. Now he says it’s too hard to bring down costs”

“Right before the election, Trump said: “They call it groceries! Bacon, lettuce, tomato. All the everything is so much higher than it ever was. And we’re going to bring that down, and we’re going to do it very simply.”

“It appears the man who promised that Mexico would pay for the border wall (it didn’t) and promised he’d release a “beautiful” health care plan to replace Obamacare (he didn’t) and promised to release his tax returns (he didn’t) and promised his tax cuts would “give the typical American household around a $4,000 pay raise,” and said on the campaign trail that his tariffs “are not going to be a cost to you, it’s going to be a cost to another country,” well, it appears he may have been pulling our leg on the whole grocery prices thing”

“Now that he’s safely elected, he's admitting he can’t do it, and the people who voted for him because egg prices are appalling can rest easy knowing they’ve been conned by one of the best.”

In itself, that’s expected, Trump lies about everything, but what is going to comical is how the GOP and especially the right wing media now will become all rational about inflation and the costs of everything. We’re going to head, “what can the President do about groceries? “Prices never go down.” “It is going to take more time.” “Look at the Market.” “US has lowest inflation rate in the world.” Etc. etc., etc. All of which will be heavily collated with “it’s Biden’s fault”.

Next four years, non stop comedy

If people don't yet know that Trump is nothing but a carnival barker then they deserve to be conned.

Trump lies, everyone knows, well, except for the MAGAkins, they believe him, but the comedy is in watching how the GOP and Fox now has to rationalize or explain his lies. As I said, now inflation will be discussed in more rational economic terms and not the demagoguing everything is a mess and Trump will fix it
