I've always been willing to let people kill their children, so long as we agree they have to stop before most women know they are pregnant.....its still murder, but more children escape you......

No small part of that is the fault of the National Democratic Party who doesn’t believe the Great Lakes States are diverse enough to win in. So no small measure of Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin being so badly gerrymandered is because these States Democratic parties are being ignored and underfunded by the National Democratic Party.

I can remember in 2016 I thought Clinton’s odds of winning were good and she did win big in the most liberal States. However when Clinton’s campaign was asked why they weren’t investing in Ohio’s grass roots effort for her candidacy and her campaign answered that Ohio lacked the diversity to invest in. I saw this as just stupendously incompetent political comment to make. Sure enough she lost the electoral votes and the election by ineptly alienating voters in the Great Lakes region.

It was the biggest screw up by any national level politician has made in my lifetime. She just threw away her chance of winning an election she could have and should have won.

Fortunately the GOP can’t stand prosperity and have so badly over reached on this issue that they may have an opportunity in 2024 to significantly change the situation.

Having said that if anyone can fuck up an almost certain blue wave in 2024 it’s the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.
