I see what you are saying. However, the demand has been made, and folks were taking the "turtle" gender person seriously. At some point, we are somewhere I do not think we need to go.
I'm good with someone using pronouns that they weren't born into, seriously I am. I even use them, purposefully and without rancor. Adults who make such a transition should absolutely be able to do what they want, dress how they want, and be who they want to be. I do draw a line at a point where I must take someone seriously who uses "turtle" as a gender and pronoun. You can do that on your own time, don't try to take up any of mine with it.
