Clinton, Bush, and Obama kept Kim inside the Big Six negotiations, until that butt Trump met him one on one as if he were a significant player in the Far East.

Exactly. More than anything else, Kim wanted recognition on the "world stage". Past Presidents were savvy enough to deny him this prize. It took a stupid one -DJT- to give Kim EXACTLY what he does wanted and get nothing for it.
Simply put, Kim realized that tRump was an idiot and played him for the fool that he is.

Trump never cared about controlling Kim. He needed to be able to create the appearance that he was accomplishing something. Trump is just, reality TV. He is selling and selling all the time. We who have some resistance to conmen, laugh at him. You Trumpies buy it all. You are deep into buying the product with all the options and warranties. But there is nothing there. Trump has been laughed at in NYC for many years. How he sold the idea of competence and intelligence is amazing. We have 1/3rd of the Corina cases on the planet and rightys think he is doing a great job. It is amazing.
 
This is always an interesting topic. Obama met with Iranian officials for a supposed deal to end nuclear research there, and Trump met with North Korea for a peace deal.

In either case, our head of state met with the leaders of a pariah state.

People play politics as to which they find acceptable.

Obama and 6 other nations actually accomplished something. They stopped Iran from making nuclear weapons. It was a great accomplishment. Trump unilaterally undid it, because that is who he is.
Trump accomplished exactly nothing with North Korea unless you count giving them an international status for free as an accomplishment. They were the Hermit Kingdom. They were begging for the US to talk to them as equals for 3 NK reigns.. All the other presidents knew it was a bargaining chip. Trump just threw it away.

Israel showed us that Iran wasn't honoring the deal. So, yeah, it accomplished nothing.
