He's dead flat wrong. Fusion will be the go-to energy source. If matter-anti-matter pair annihilation is possible, that'd follow it. Solar fails on two levels:
1. If you can't get 24/7 sustained output with a constant value it won't work.
2. It operates on an inverse square function as you get away from the sun.
China, USA and India consume most of the fossil fuels. What do you think is the likelihood that China and India will reduce their use of fossil fuels or move to solar to power their economies?
