California yoga instructor fired for glaring at Facebook employee using cellphone in class

MENLO PARK, Calif. (Associated Press) --
A California yoga instructor has been fired for her disapproving stink-eye glare at a Facebook employee using a cellphone in class.

Alice Van Ness, who was hired to teach hour-long yoga sessions at Facebook's Menlo Park campus, says she tells students before class to turn off their cellphones.

But a female employee pulled out her cellphone in the middle of a Monday session and began texting.

The San Jose Mercury News ( http://bit.ly/S3zD7t) says Van Ness didn't say anything, but she gave the student what she calls a look of disapproval.

The student later complained and Van Ness was fired by Plus One Health Management.

The termination letter says Van Ness "made a spectacle" of the student.

Yep fired by a private corporation.
 
Its that constitutional right to text and talk on the phone anytime they please.

I get so sick of people on cell phones when they should be paying attention to real life.

The whiner was in a class, that her company PAID for, and everyone was told to turn off their phones, FOR ONE HOUR, during the class.

But the EVIL teacher dared to look mean at a student who obviously was to stupied to understand what her responsibilities were. :palm:
