Has anyone on the left ever met a government spending program they didn't like?

What is their total aversion to cutting government spending which is popular with the overwhelming majority of Americans?

Sure some gobblement people who have skated by will lose their cushy jobs and have to go do something else. And sure it might cause some short term pain, but it will be better in the long run because now they can go do something productive for themselves and the economy at large.

One has to wonder what else is at play given the visceral reaction by Congressional democrats. Were they using this gobblement spending as a money laundering scheme and they are worried about the gravy train ending?

Ukraine is righteously defending it's own sovereign land from ruthless invaders. A right to self-defense is a natural moral right all humans possess.

Iraq and Ukraine are not even remotely close to being similar or analogous.
