Our Economic Problems

Because they are more worried about keeping their jobs than they are about solving the nation's problems. To be associated with Obama is suicide in the eyes of the idiots that finance elections, to he seen with Bush is suicide in the eyes of people that actually have a pulse and vote.

Unfortunately the GOP keeps proving H.L. Menken right. "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American Public.".

It is amazing how they walked in lock step with their messiah Bush until he was caught asleep at the wheel when the economy crashed now they claim that Bush's problem is that he wasn't conservative enough. Talk about divorced from reality.

lol.....not any that were alive in 1976......
Reminds me that the popular impression of Lincoln was written by contemporaries. Unbiased historians writing with historical perspective tell a very different history of this guy. Actual historians realize it is their duty to allow history to become history before you document it or you are only a pr man before.

most historians aren't doing their job if they are looking at something outside the context of actual history.
No problem there. It's the truth. Although not as bad as Nixon, considering all his fuck ups, Bush rates accurately with Warren G. Harding as our most inept US President though Bush was in office longer than Harding and had more opportunities to screw up. Which he did. Carter on the other hand, though inept politically was a vastly superior Chief Executive when compared to Bush...which admittedly isn't saying much.

If Obama is the cause of our economic problems, why do Republicans avoid, at all costs, being associated with George W. Bush?

1) Obama is the current cause of our economic problems
2) That does not mean Bush was good. People can acknowledge that BOTH Bush AND Obama have been horrible Presidents fiscally.
