Parents reject Common Core indoctrination and lawmakers in many states agree

Common Core State Standards are under pressure by parents and lawmakers are getting the message. They are using legislation to boot the U.S. Department of Education’s indoctrination of students in their districts.

In its usual display of arrogance, the Department thought that Common Core was a done deal but instead they found that both parents and teachers have rebelled against the program when they realized that it dis-empowered local educators and the decision-making and voting public.

While there is much misinformation surrounding CC (on all sides), I am damn glad to see parents asserting their will relative to their most precious assets, their children. Lets hope this trend starts oozing into other areas besides school.
