Parler CEO Says Service Dropped By “Every Vendor” And Could End His Business

Parler CEO John Matze said today that his social media company has been dropped by virtually all of its business alliances after Amazon, Apple and Google ended their agreements with the social media service.

“Every vendor from text message services to email providers to our lawyers all ditched us too on the same day,” Matze said today on Fox News.

Matze conceded that the bans could put the company out of business while raising free speech issues, calling it “an assault on everybody.”

indeed. What has Parler done but allow free speech?
*cant have that in 2020 fascist Big Tech America and that is accurate no hyperbolye at all*
And they DO cooperate with law enforcement if LE asks..

The remarks come a day after Amazon dropped Parler from its servers, joining Apple and Google. They all cited the potential of spreading violent content on the site, which is favored by conservatives as an alternative to Twitter and Facebook.
ROFL.. I am a potential Bodhisattva

Matze said that the services are unfairly targeting Parler. “They’re trying to falsely claim that we’re somehow responsible for the events that occurred on the 6th,” he said, the date of the Capitol building takeover by protesters.
Big Democratic Tech doesn't care -this is a pure power play with an ineffective Republican government ,
and now willing Dems

we have blown right past Banana Republic and now are at authoritarianism in the blink of an eye

The government and the Democratic Party are not doing anything to Parler.

In a capitalist free market system, private companies can exercise freedom of association to the extent the law allows.

If you allow Neonazis to congregate on your private property, if you allow terrorists to incite and plot riots on your private property, you better be prepared to expect other businesses may not want to be affiliated with you.

you should have said the Dems are not doing anything and denied the Big Tech/Party silencing nexus.
But I doubt you could even you could say that with out major eye rolls.

How is it the ayatollah can incite "death to America" but he gets a pass?

If you provide a platform for terrorists to plot riots, and provide safe harbor to Neonazis, the savy businessman should be prepared to expect blowback.
Especially given that he was dependent upon mainstream companies to run his business. No corporations like anarchy.

the funny thing is the tech industry became a legitimate political power by Trump's own actions banning Huawei and Tiktok.

Big tech silencing nexus sounds like the next Kraken crackpot theory someone in the rightwing invented in the last 48 hours.

No one here has any influence over the Ayatollah in Iran.

If I owned an internet forum, and Iranians logged on to holler "Death to America!", I would tell them to fuck off and then ban them.

Parler allowed free speech if you are far-right enough. I lasted 2 days before I got booted. They ban leftys for sport. Do not call that free speech. It is the opposite.

horseshit. they do NOT ban for content. Typical Democratic lies

If free speech truly is the enemy and we must restrict and censor the voices of people to keep our country safe then our country is already lost.

If one man’s voice is a threat to our nation but his holding of the presidential office is not, than it is apparent the powers of the presidency are less powerful than a single voice. Why should any of us settle to giving up our rights to free speech?

It’s clear that Facebook and Twitter believe the ends justify the means. They believe the American people are weak. They insult our founding fathers by suggesting Zuckerburg and Dorsey know what is best for us.

Parler is not an arbiter of truth. We believe in you. We believe you are wise enough to decide for yourself and trust that given access to all information we can self govern. The solution is clear. If you believe in free speech, and our founding principles of our republic, then we must liberate others by promoting free speech Parler.

Free speech is still free in America. This isn't fucking Putin's Russia. No one can force people to listen to bullshit.

If a known Russian criminal wants to do business in America, no one is forced to do business with them. That's why those Russian thugs have to use force and why they need to be rooted out and destroyed.

who is "forcing" anyone "to listen" -WTF is that supposed to mean?
Putting on taped Trump rallies and make people watch? what??

No link provided. Who wrote this? A Trump supporter with ulterior motives?

Private companies are not in charge of protecting your 1st amendment rights.

Do not want to lose business relationships with other companies? Then do not let your private property be used for plotting riots and insurrections. Simple.

I do not recall any Deplorable hand wringing about free speech when the rightwing made a concerted effort to destroy the Dixie Chicks' careers.

It is unclear if the Founding Fathers would support freedom of enterprise or freedom of speech.

I bet they'd support freedom of speech.

It's unclear because obviously social media is newer than the Founding Fathers.
