Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that a Jackson County Grand Jury has indicted an Ohio minister on 15 felony charges related to the sexual assaults of two juveniles and an adult.

Dennis Wright, 67, of Oak Hill, is charged with seven counts of rape, two counts of sexual battery, two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, three counts of gross sexual imposition, and one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.

DeWine’s office said Wright worked as a minister to a congregation on State Route 93 outside of Oak Hill where two of the victims, a juvenile and an adult, were parishioners.

Wright is accused of assaulting the juvenile on multiple occasions between 2012 and 2015 and assaulting the adult, whose ability to resist or consent was substantially impaired, on multiple occasions.

The investigation, which was conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), also uncovered a third victim who was 10 years old when Wright allegedly attacked the child.

Joseph Niemeyer, Jr. runs the youth ministry at New Banklick Baptist Church in Walton.

But it was what happened in his home that has landed him in jail.

"He's been charged with a variety of counts of rape first degree, sodomy first degree, and sexual abuse in the first degree," said Rob Sanders, Kenton Co. Commonwealth Attorney. "All of those in the first degree because they involve a child under the age of 12-years-old."

Police said the victim was a foster child and the abuse went on for three years.

A Nebraska pastor is facing charges after he got caught bringing a loaded gun to the airport — again.

Rev. Alvin Weasel — also known as Dobie — said the New Year’s Eve incident was a mistake, even though a similar mistake happened in 2014.

He was charged last week after a months-long investigation into the armed incident.

“This was the second time that this had happened to the same person,” Omaha interim city prosecutor Tom Mumgaard told the Daily News in explaining his decision to charge the reverend.

Weasel has a concealed carry permit but, he told KETV, this time he thought he’d left his weapon in his safe at home.

The carry-on bag he brought along weighed “about 40 pounds” and was “stuffed with everything.”

think what happened was the gun fell in between two of the larger books,” he said.

Mumgaard said that Weasel has now been hit with a misdemeanor charge for carrying a concealed weapon into a prohibited place.

Before the city was given the case to prosecute, the feds had to finish their investigation — which is why there was such a delay before filing, Mumgaard said.

Singapore's City Harvest Church, which recently celebrated its 27th anniversary, has seen its membership numbers drop for yet another year amid the ongoing trial and eight-year prison sentence, pending appeal, for founder and Senior Pastor Kong Hee.

The Sunday Times reported on Sunday that CHC's congregation dropped to 16,482 in 2015, as seen in its annual report, which represents a 6 percent drop from 2014. The publication noted that church membership has been dropping ever since a criminal investigation against the church's leaders began in 2010.

Kong, along with five other CHC leaders, were found guilty last year of misusing close to $35-million in church donations, which allegedly was used to fund the music career of singer and fellow CHC Pastor Sun Ho,

Back in 2009, CHC's membership was up to 23,565, which means the megachurch has seen close to a third of its congregation leave.

Jon Hughes Allen, 72, turned himself in to law enforcement officials and was arrested in connection with one count of arson, a class A felony.
"They are trying to say that I burned it down, which I did not do," Allen said Tuesday. "That's about all there is to it."

Allen was a pastor at Lake Hills Baptist Church when the church faced foreclosure. He said he's no longer the church's pastor, and the fire wasn't connected to the church.
