Pat McAfee For President

This guy is a national treasure. College GameDay is at Cal (Berkeley) for the first time ever and credit to the fans they turned out early and in impressive fashion. It's been a hell of a show. For anyone who has ever spent time in Berkley you may appreciate McAfee's comments here. (And the fact that he got people in Berkeley chanting USA, USA...)

I think he's an oaf, but to each his own.
In fairness, my interest in sports has pretty much disappeared this late into my old age.
And I was once a professional athlete.

I though that the former punter guy was in pro wrestling now.
That's what I've heard, anyway.

I had to look that up but he’s associated with wrestling in some way. But he makes his money from his show on ESPN.

College football is great and as one who spent time on Cal’s campus (Telegraph Ave, Top Dog and Blondie’s Pizza) - his segment is awesome

It's good to have things you enjoy.
I was just sharing my reaction to the guy.

I've never been closer to the Berkeley Campus than downtown San Francisco,
so I guess that I wouldn't appreciate the references.

As a Bostonian, I have been on the Berklee Campus, however.
No football, but jazz if you like it.

This isn’t a unique experience I’m sure but as an Oakland kid, going to Cal’s campus while in high school and trying to sneak into fraternity party’s to talk to college girls was a blast and great memory.

It's also a challenge.

At that young age, women are typically more mature than men the same age
so college girls aren't usually a successful target for high school guys.

I knew my wife when we were in high school,
but she was only months younger than I,
and I tended to date girls younger than that, then.
The age of consent in Massachusetts is sixteen, not eighteen as in many places.

My girlfriend when I was a college freshman was a senior in high school.
My wife, then a close friend, didn't particularly like her, in fact.
And like myself, she never got carded in bars.

That's the thing with going to college in Boston.
I wasn't really away from home.
I was always in touch with people that I already knew as well as new college friends.
