There's no denying his brilliance in winning the Nobel Prize for his work on trade. But as a columnist he was an absolute partisan hack. (There are liberal, and conservative, economists who can still be relatively straight forward - and then there are people like Krugman.)

He wrote his last column for the Times today.

I think it is cute you think brilliance has anything to do with. Nobel anymore. He is a moron and has been wrong about everything the last 25 years.

Anyone who puts any credence into what he says is also a moron

That was the big problem......too many people noticed that he is almost always wrong.
