It's all about lack of due diligence and critical thinking?!!

"It's easy to forget how significant each presidential election is, but this year's election, in particular, carries a lot of weight and comes with a lot of important decisions. While there is no sure way to "hold" any candidate to their exact promises, voters are responsible for informing themselves about the campaign's core policies.

Even as his popular vote majority has now slimmed, it is official: former president Donald Trump is now the president-elect. With the most recent recount, he sits at 50% of the vote, meaning that his words and promises really stuck with many Americans — but is there already buyer's remorse?

Did you initially agree with Donald Trump's promise of dismantling the Department of Education, only to later realize that it would affect a child you know who has an IEP or receives government funding (FASFA, free lunch program, etc.)?

Or maybe a big policy of Donald Trump's that made you vote for him was his mass deportation plan, only to now realize that labor costs, grocery costs, and taxes will most likely rise in the coming future?

This has to be one of the most idiotic political cartoons I've ever seen. Eggs are not imported into the US, they are locally grown, so tariffs will have ZERO effect on their price. What retard doesn't know that--well, other than the artist that did that cartoon, and you?
The chickens the lay the eggs in China are carefully genetically engineered in the USA. Tariffs will hurt the agribusinesses that produce these chickens, and they will have to charge us more to make up for it. Beyond that tariffs will lead to higher prices in many sectors, and the other sectors will have to increase prices to pay for the higher prices.

trump complains that we import too many cars from Germany, and demands high tariffs against Germany. German car companies export more cars from the USA than they import, so in theory, they could just produce all the models here, and avoid the tariffs. The problem is it costs far more to produce two models from the same factory than to produce one model per factory. So any way you cut it, that means cars will cost more.

I don't care what the price of eggs or tea is in China. Eggs won't go up here because of tariffs. There is some trade with China in terms of poultry for processing into meat. That's because it's cheaper to use near-slave Chinese labor to process it than much higher paid American labor. This trade was curtailed during Trump's first time in office for much the same reason as he would do it today and chicken was much cheaper back then than now. Inflation did far, far, more damage to the US economy under Biden than tariffs did with Trump the first time.

Eggs on the other hand, don't keep well for long periods of transport. The US currently imports about $110 million in eggs mostly from Canada or Mexico. You can't freeze eggs...

Here's some facts on that. German car makers sell about 1.3 million cars a year in the US. That's out of about 53 million sold total per year. That amounts to a measly 2.5% of the US market. German car makers also manufacture about 850,000 of those cars in the US right now (about 2 out of 3) rather than import time from Germany. In addition, almost 40% of the US made German cars end up being exported to Europe or Asia.

BMW, Daimler (Mercedes Benz), and VW all operate multiple factories in the US.

So, Tariffs will have nearly ZERO effect on German cars in the US.

We are going to buy a new oven to avoid tariffs. We were going to hold off, but decided to do it, pPresident Felon’s tariffs and all, you know.

Give Biden’s economy the bump, too.
