The Church is the last to admit anything it true, throught history they have held onto scientific fact longer than anyone.

IT is what is happening now with attitudes toward evolution, homosexuality, birth control, and many other issues.

Social conservatives need to wake up and see that history will prove them to have been silly idiots.

How long did the Church hold onto the idea that the Earth was flat, and then persecute anyone who said otherwise. Its the same thing they are doing now, with many issues. The Catholics are going as far as saying that if yyou vote for a pro-choice canidate you can be denied communion with God and excomunicated.
 
Yeah the church has a long history of stomping on those who disagree with them.

Why do you think the Republicans and religious right get along so well ?

Yes Republicans do know better but do it anyway because it works for their goals.
 
I meant the republican leadership knows but does it anyway. The republican sheeple are clueless as always.

Its sad because it really harms society and people when the governement refuses to acknoledge reality!
 
True, but those who use Religen to avoid acknoleging reality I find particularly distastefull. To take advantage of people's faith is shamefull.

As secularism rises, it inflames moderates and drives them to extremism themselves. America is becoming polarized with religion.

Senator Clinton may or may not win, but I promise you that Hukabee will NOT be the next president of the United States.

I guess its my opinion. But I feel fairly sure of it. Huckabee fits into the catagory of fringe canidates who once briefly had a surge of support that lasted a month or two. Very simular to when the Rev. Pat Robertson ran for president. He does not even share the same catagory as Senator Clinton in the way of being a serious contender.
