It is interesting to note that slavery was not considered morally wrong by most societies until certain Western ones decided it was in the 1800s. Many non-Western cultures are still fine with slavery, but strangely, they aren't typically called out for it.
Nowadays, it would seem the West is ok with slavery but only if someone else is doing it out of sight and out of mind.

True. I'm just speaking of Western governments and elites. There are a few Western and non-Western governments that have called out China and who have taken actions to try to resolve Libya's situation, but neither situation seems close to resolution.
