Medicare for all eliminates the cost of private health insurance and Insurance companies. People will find eliminating those costs will put money in their pockets. They could also fold Medicaid costs and the VA into it since they would not be needed. Vets could go to the nearest doctor of their choice.

They are, I have Medicare. they send me monthly emails telling me what preventative procedures I am qualified for. They encourage healthier living because they have less cost when you are healthy. Regular medicine makes money by the procedure and keeping you sicker. Selling you medicines and suggesting tests is how they make more money.
Our healthcare is reverse what it should be. Doctors should be paid by results, not by procedures. The VA works on results too. Vets love the VA healthcare. It is the part that bureaucrats fit into that they dislike.

Why doesn't the government require published pricing schedules for these procedures so people can shop around?

What makes you think they have that power? Hospitals determine the prices. Doctors determine prices. In the land of lobbying and corporate power, you think the government has such power?

I know the government has that power and more. You can't build or add onto a hospital unless you get GovCo permission. In your permit you have to prove that the are "needs" the facility. Were you aware of that?
