Experts say it's not possible even if the U.S. replaces Saudi Arabia as the world's top oil producer.

We need to be wrapping up the use of fossil fuels within the next 25 years, not creating more them?!!

Then I would suggest we end the Department of Energy because after all the only reason we started it was to become energy independent. It would appear based on your post that the department has been a colossal failure.
