Political discussion with people who go with emotion over facts.

It it rampant...there should be a rule...leave emotions and personal reactions at the door...
Why not request that?
Because I like the free speech on this board. You have a right to make an emotional post, and I have a right to ridicule those who do it and a right to point out such a cancer affecting our politics.

This is rampant on this board, certain people react to things that happen with emotion instead of fact.

The discussion over the Federal Trade Court decision shows that clearly. They do not like the decision emotionally, so they call it illegitimate.
So you're tummy is upset because harvard is getting it's funding pulled for a reason you just don't like and you have the balls to start a thread with this title? I want to take you seriously but....

I do not like any organization having funding taken because the Government is trying to manage the messages they allow people to express.

Such behavior is illegal in the United States and very UNAMERICAN.

What's the most emotional post you've ever seen that concerns you?
I do not know, I have not evaluated and do not care to evaluate which one is the "most" emotional.

My point is that its rampant, and many here only care about their desire to let the Administration do anything it wants, so they pretend there is some legitimacy when there is not.

So many discussions with certain posters illustrate that they do not care about American laws and American ideals, but only their emotions.

Waaaaaaaaa

You demholes weep for that animal that killed the health insurance CEO but you want to take money out of the pockets of taxpayers and give it to harvard that .has $52 billion in their pocket. I can think of anything more unamerican then that.

But you started a thread on it.... For no rhyme or reason... no facts...Just your personal and emotional evaluation of others posts..

Leaders calling a Court Ruling illegitimate, simply because they do not like the result is not intelligent discussion, and it harms our nation when emotional people believe it is simply a rogue court.

How would one even prove that a post was emotionally based rather than logically based?

All emotion aside, that was an absurd suggestion.

Probably based on an emotional reaction.

Just because I do not have a believe in the example of the "Most" does not mean anything. Look at the discussion over the Federal Trade Court's decision.

They simply emotionally believe there is not legit basis for the ruling.

You've made a very good point, many people just can't be logical and or objective.

That's very obvious around here. Is it not? You're not new here...;)
Have you ever seen a thread Where the discussion is logical and fact based? Without emotion or personal attack Mucking it up?

I don't see the OP as being emotional. It is an observation that cannot be verified with hard data, but that's the reality of the world.

What I see happening here is you going off on one of your little "gotcha" attempts that always result in an endless string of back and forth nonsense that wastes everybody's time.

If that's what you
Truly believe that you wouldn't be replying to me...

So, he felt like commenting on it.

You're free to agree or disagree.

But that doesn't mean it's not a legitimate topic for conversation.

Maybe belongs in General Politics or Off Topic, but a legitimate subject nonetheless.

A perfect example is Trumppers screaming that the decision of the Federal Trade Court is invalid, when a factual discussion shows that it was perfectly within the purview and mandate of the Court to make such a decision which was clearly within the bounds of the law and Constitution.

I am happy it is being appealed, that is how the rule of law works. Let it go to a superior court.
