In head-to-head matchups -- the first to include Huckabee -- the former Arkansas governor loses to Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York by 10 percentage points (54 percent to 44 percent), to Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois by 15 points (55 percent to 40 percent) and to former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina by 25 points (60 percent to 35 percent).

The poll, conducted between Thursday and Sunday, surveyed 912 registered voters. It carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Now will Evangelicals vote on Principal or on electibility?

You see how once again, Hillary beats him by less than all of the front runners. And you put her against Rudy, it's within margin of error.

This is why I am convinced the dems are going to nominate her, because they are that f'ing stupid. Yes, they really are.

I wish the Republicans would just go ahead and nominate Huckabee so that he can suffer an catastrophic defeat in the general election and the religious right can learn to stfu.

I think you misunderestimate the potential depth of Huckleberry's strength.

Jesus action figures are selling out at Walmart. The War on Christmas rages on. Torture is all the rage.

The small minority of americans who oppose theocracy are fleeing to canada. I wouldn't write the Reverend off yet.

There is no possible way I would vote for Huckabee. If the R Party wants to ensure a loss it is one of the ways they can do it. There are many like me, he will simply lose and big time.

Id flee to the Bahamas, if I fled.

However to go with your preferred Guliani would virtually guarantee the same loss, since Rudy is about as good at firing up evangelicals as Dennis Kucinich.

The Republican Party depends on hordes of evangelical Christian voters turning out in high numbers in key states, which WILL NOT HAPPEN if Guliani is selected as the party nominee.

This may be true but it may also be that LOTS of independents will vote for Rudy if Hillary is the only other choice.

If Obama picks Oprah to be his running mate, I've decided I'm definitely voting for them.
