Actually no. My guess is you have a partisan reason why you believe the divide exists and I can point you to similar divides that exist in completely opposite political areas so I don't know what your reason is.
 
yes texas is a huge state, they are also near the top in millionaires.

If your state has the second most people in the US I would expect it to have somewhere around the second most millionares.

Correct me if I'm wrong - California has the most millionares? SUrprising.

I live relatively close to this place. We actually go to a fish store located there for our salt water fish.
 
wow, College station texas is totally a college town, with tons of employment at a major university. I'm suprised they're so impoverished.
