Unless there's single payer or the German system, there will be winners and losers. Unless of course Moosecare is implemented, which is impossible because there's no politician smart enough to come up with that.

LOL and Obamacare the way it is now has $7,000.00 deductibles

There are millions and millions of families that don't have $7000 and no way of coming up with it because of bad credit.

Which translates into delaying treatment, which increases morbidity and drives up costs. Or they wind up in the ER with a broken leg that the hospital is compelled to treat, by law.

Trump is right, it is more complicated than most people realize. Jonathan Gruber is clueless.

If you have a $7k deductible, with a max OOP that is virtually the same, you can pay $100/month to any provider, and they won't be able to do a thing. You could always go without insurance, and pay the whole tab....or face medical bankruptcy.

In other words, not pay for the services received? If you did your job and for doing it you were to receive X amount but those owing it to you only paid you $100 month, would that be OK with you?

There are also millions of families that do not have insurance because they choose to pay the fine instead of being held up at gunpoint by Obamacare

Dude, for 99 percent of families a 7000 dollar deductible is the cost of the plan, not 100 dollars a month. Fuckface, the insurance pays NOTHING until the family spews out 7000 dollars which is 683 dollars a month if the load is spread over all 12 months. If the load comes in one month then the family is already bankrupt.

You are an ignorant heartless piece of shit that voted for Hillary out of ignorance

Why can't I get my car mechanic to work like that lol?

Althea does not even know what deductible means. Many doctors want the deductible paid BEFORE services are rendered, so if you do not have the 7000 dollars your 100 dollar premium means nothing as you get nothing

Actually it isn't that complicated.

People are duped because it is much easier to play on someone's fear of the unknown when it comes to healthcare, because people are inherently afraid of getting sick because they are even more afraid of dying. That is the crux of it right there.

I will break it down very simply. It is the easiest way to deliver healthcare AND pay for it in the most efficient way possible, positively impact the most people and most importantly keep out the federal government.

Now, first people must reeducate themselves. Unfortunately the left has done too good a job equating insurance with healthcare. It is ridiculous and perverts the language while confusing the population. Insurance does not equate to care. Get that through your thick skulls

Now what kind of system would benefit the most people?

First decouple medical insurance from employment AND the gobblement. For too long people have been shielded from the true costs of medical care and creates moral hazard.

Once you have done that, allow medical insurance to be sold across state lines the way automobile and homeowners insurance is done. Then what you would see happen is people would buy catastrophic policies to protect against improbable events (cancer, heart attack etc).

Everything else, people would pay cash for. Prescriptions, doctor's appointments, lab test etc. Now I know this is difficult for people to comprehend and wrap their heads around because they have been propagandized by the government and lived in a world of prices being driven up due to regulation so it doesn't allow them to consider that competition and choice would bring down healthcare costs just as it has done for computers, mobile phones etc.

Don't be fooled when liberals try to point to WHO statistics stating countries with universal healthcare (there is no such thing) have better outcomes. They try to point to things like infant mortality, and overall mortality to fool you. What they don't tell you is that nobody measures those things consistently so cross border comparisons are impossible. They also can't account for genetic and regional differences that impact mortality and have zero to do with delivery of care. However, if they were honest (and they are not) they would point to one aspect of care where you can compare outcomes internationally and that is the treatment of cancer. When you look at that particular disease, the United States beats just about every country in the civilized world and yes those with SINGLE PAYER. Why? Because we have the best and most innovative healthcare in the fucking world. Period.

Yes, the way we have paid for healthcare is inefficient but that is not because of the insurance companies as is widely believed it is because of the federal and state gobblements setting up disparities and creating chaos.

The lessons are free, what you choose to do with your newfound knowledge is up to you

If you have a pre existing condition, $7k/year max OOP isn't that bad.

Why shouldn't someone with a history of three heart attacks pay more for medical insurance than say someone who is 28 years old and no discernible medical history?

Do you think you should pay the same car insurance as someone with a DUI and three accidents? It is the same principle with regards to risk.

cover everyone

spread the cost to all

its the ONLY decent way to do it.

if you disagree about covering everyone you are a sociopath

typos

Driving a car is in now way analogous with somebody's life and welfare.

Why don't you tell your parents and grandparents to their faces they you demand their medical premiums be jacked up one thousand percent because they are old with a plethora of health problems.

Oh wait, you actually wouldn't do that to their faces in real life you say?

That's right. Because you know when you are not typing words from the safety of an anonymous keyboard, you actually realize what you are saying is black-hearted, soulless, and immoral.

Carry on, keyboard warrior.
