The situation is even worse with aluminum. The United States doesn't make enough steel for our needs, now cars, appliances, consumer good prices will be shooting up and the MAGA morons cheer
It will be very inflationary, and this constant changing of the rules promotes totally avoiding America for either production or sales.Yeah, that was today. TACO will change his alleged mind. It may require another golf complex. I read he has been offered 21 of them so far.
And the price of everything made of steel will go up.It will be very inflationary, and this constant changing of the rules promotes totally avoiding America for either production or sales.
The world has been moving towards cutting America out and leaving us behind....without understanding it Trump is encouraging this.
The price of American made goes up as the price of imported goes up, even as American household balance sheets have been deteriorating ever since the COVID handouts stopped. And the price of everything made of steel will go up.
Not sure how much steel is per ton but you can bet if it was say 1000 dollars a ton and new imports of steel will now be 1200 a ton price of US steel will go up just under that so they are a little cheaper and gets the sales and the profits of US steel will go up, screwing the US consumer.
Well as of today the price of 25 lbs of sugar has gone up about 5 dollars , and isn't most of our sugar grown here? The price of American made goes up as the price of imported goes up, even as American household balance sheets have been deteriorating ever since the COVID handouts stopped.
But then again I have been warning for several years that the decline in American standard of living continues to get worse as far as the eyes can see.
Trump is making it all worse, thinking that in the end it will all work out...the economists I listen to say that it wont, and they say that Trump does not understand tariffs.
Yes......but we also import a lot even though our sugar tariffs have been very high for decades.....with sugar I think based upon two minutes on Google the main thing is that global production last year was below consumption, a lot of the reserve supply got used.Well as of today the price of 25 lbs of sugar has gone up about 5 dollars , and isn't most of our sugar grown here?
That could very well be, I am just saying my girl friend bakes a lot so she uses a lot of sugar and two weeks ago it was about 5 dollars less.Yes......but we also import a lot even though our sugar tariffs have been very high for decades.....with sugar I think based upon two minutes on Google the main thing is that global production last year was below consumption, a lot of the reserve supply got used.
Then too this is a dark age.....it can be expected that companies that can raise prices and book it as profit will do so.....prices going up everywhere because of tariffs and supply a demand makes for great cover. That could very well be, I am just saying my girl friend bakes a lot so she uses a lot of sugar and two weeks ago it was about 5 dollars less.
Yep as I have said before Retailers are not only going to pass on the cost of the tariffs but may add an extra percent or two and pad their bottom lines. Then too this is a dark age.....it can be expected that companies that can raise prices and book it as profit will do so.....prices going up everywhere because of tariffs and supply a demand makes for great cover.
Was not always thus.....in better days people had a moral problem with using flaws in the market to skim wealth off the collective....some even thought that they would go to Hell for it.Yep as I have said before Retailers are not only going to pass on the cost of the tariffs but may add an extra percent or two and pad their bottom lines.
