That was a question. Why not? Give me a valid reason not to say, "Things are going swell" in a tweet. It didn't hurt anything and folks that aren't as plugged in as we are now know that there are talks in Switzerland going on between China and the US regarding trade.
So, give me a reason you think he should just sit on his hands. I'm ready to listen.

None of that is a reason to not tweet that things are going well in the talks without details. All of that is your opinion of why they are there in talks and gives no valid reason why it was somehow bad to tweet that things are going well.
