President Trump told the nation Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro was captured “in the dead of night” and that the US would now take over running the South American country.

“We’re going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,” Trump said at a press conference from his Mar-a-Lago resort as he provided new details on the stunning military operation.

“We’re going to run it, essentially” through the transition, he said.

The president called it “one of the most stunning effective and powerful displays of American military might and competence in American history.”

“Not a single American servicemember was killed” and no US equipment was lost in the operation, Trump said.

“It was dark. The lights of Caracas were largely turned off due to a certain expertise that we have. It was dark. And it was deadly” he said.

It's officially an Oil War now.

As I noted elsewhere, it is all about oil, and Trump’s designs to get Trump industries a piece of the oil market, that, and a classic Wag the Dog move

So, the question becomes ... who will trump install to take orders and pretend to run the new puppet regime?

Will he change the name of the country to Trumpezuela?
One of his cronies, especially if that individual already has a share in the oil market, Trump will say because of the guy’s experience but we all know it will be to get Trump businesses into the oil domain

Trump tells Post that US troops won’t be in Venezuela if Maduro VP ‘does what we want’: ‘We have a second wave’

President Trump told The Post in an exclusive interview that US troops won’t be stationed in Venezuela so long as ousted strongman Nicolás Maduro’s vice president, Delcy Rodriguez, “does what we want” in the aftermath of a daring US raid that captured Maduro.

Trump made the clarification moments after a press conference where he said that “we are going to run the country” ahead of a democratic transition.

Asked by The Post if “US troops [will] be on the ground helping run the country,” Trump said: “No, if Maduro’s vice president — if the vice president does what we want, we won’t have to do that.”

“We’re prepared,” Trump added. “You know, we have a second wave that’s much bigger than the first wave.”

The president said that “we’ve spoken to her [Rodriguez] numerous times, and she understands, she understands.”

Trump said that he is not considering additional military action against Cuba, Venezuela’s longtime ally, which was heavily dependent on Caracas for economic support and fuel — despite declaring in the interview that “the ‘Donroe’ doctrine is a Monroe Doctrine on steroids.”

“No, Cuba is going to fall of its own volition. Cuba is doing very poorly,” Trump said.

How do you tell when Trump is lying? His lips are moving. LOL

Trump lied about the fentanyl. Trump lied about the cocaine. Trump lied about the oil. Now he's lying about invading Venezuela and running their government for profit.

I bet the sales of large outboard engines just went down in Venezuela

He is very, very stupid if he tries it.
