So why are Democrats whining so much about monuments in the south? Numerous presidents who represented America's liberals said nothing about these monuments. America has survived and even prospered with these monuments in place.
 
How much whining is permissible? Fact is they celebrate the war when the south wanted to destroy the union. That something praiseworthy to you? I understand the objections. On a personal level, I don't care about them. They are reminders for us to tell our children how the south wanted to destroy the United States of America so they could keep slaves.
