U.S. private sector employers brought back slightly more jobs than expected in March as the economy faced ongoing labor shortages and widespread vacancies.

Private sector payrolls rose by 455,000 in this past month, ADP said in its latest report Wednesday. Consensus economists were looking for 450,000 jobs to return, according to Bloomberg data. In February, employers brought back 486,000 payrolls, based on ADP's upwardly revised monthly print.

Donald Trumpf practically guaranteed there would be a massive economic depression if Biden were elected.

I added three more employees to one of my companies, two to another...

I feel your pain. It is a nightmarish time to hire people. There are too few people looking for a job, and too many jobs looking for people. It is both a nightmare for high demand professions, but also for low demand professions where you just needs someone.

I almost wrote out a whole story of what I just went through trying to hire someone, but it is probably best I do not say details. Suffices to say the candidate asked both us and someone else for far more than either offered. We offered a bit more, but the other company offered noticeably more than the candidate asked for. The candidate had good education, but no work experience. It is a CRAZY time.

These numbers now have a long record of being shit. They tend to get massively changed months down the line.

They use the same system that other administrations used. The problem is not the system they use but your selective beliefs. You loved and bought them when Trump was in office. Now they are shit. I could post how it is done, but you really are not interested in that, otherwise you would have looked it up.

What the fuck is a consensus economist?

But the question is, “Are people really better off?”

Even CNN can’t deny the difficulty “normal” families are facing.

Lower-income households spend 77% of their income on necessities, she said. That compares to only 31% spent on necessities by higher-income households.

That's the thing. We've had excellent job growth post the economy re-opening and we've even had wage growth. But for some/many inflation has been higher than their wage growth so they are losing money so to speak, they are actually poorer.

From a political perspective you hear people argue Biden and the Democrats aren't messaging the good economic news well enough. Well, it's hard to message away the reality of the above. The increased prices we see at the pump, store etc. are things we see on a daily basis. It's harder to convince people things are going so well when they themselves feel poorer.
