It's worth noting that passing down from the mother was an invention by Ezra and the Babylonians, to set themselves up as a 'master race' over other Jews and keep them out of power in the new Temple state they set up under the Persians. Before that they were like everybody else, passing their offspring's lineage through the father. They also invented 'royalty', whereas before they were a tribal confederacy and fairly egalitarian, and not a 'race based' cult like they became under the returning Babylonian exiles. They even changed their theology up to suit the Babylonian self-worship, and no longer the same as they were under Moses' laws. They fabricated a fake 'Oral Torah' they claimed was only for Jews, and denied the universalism implicit in monotheism and the religion of Abraham and Moses.
The Orthodox cult never resembled the original religion of Moses, despite the public lip service and racist nonsense they invented for themselves, but of course they aren't the majority of Jews anyway, even in Israel, they're just a racist cult making up maybe only even 10%-20% of the Israeli population. There are probably more Orthodox Jews in the U.S. than in Israel.

No. The tribes inter-married all over the place. The 'Jewish race' was a later artificial invention imposed by some Babylonian Jews who had influence with Persia and set up a Persian proxy state in the region.

I've personally witnessed much of that 75 years and i think it's mostly the Palestinians fault that things are the way they are in israel. Weekly stabbings and suicide bombings etc for decades.
