Prolonged Shutdowns Set a Terrible Precedent

What I see is a lack of coordination by our federal government. They haven't been honest with us. What is their plan to reopen the economy? We can't just rack up 20 years of debt, just to pay for this shutdown. At some point the cure is going to be worse than the disease. We need to have an economy, or we could very easily risk sliding into a great depression. Do they expect us to stay home for a year until their is a vaccine? Do they realize that almost every industry could go bankrupt?

I became a conservative, because I was taught from a very early age, that "there is no such thing as a free lunch". I got an issue with us sacking the next generation full of debt, because we can't get our act together. The government needs to increase taxes, so this generation can pay for their own shutdown. That's just my opinion.

I do worry that this pandemic is subliminally brainwashing people. Trudeau gives people $2000 to stay at home and do nothing. Well some people are excited to get paid, and not go to work. People are brainwashed into believing that the government can just give people everything out of thin hair. What I see is monumental inter-generational theft taking place, but no one cares that their children will have to pay for all this.

Why aren't we spending more money to research and develop the next generation of personal protective equipment, so they never have to shutdown the economy again? I firmly believe that with the right equipment, most people could be working, instead of forcing businesses to be closed. Can't we come up with some full body suits, with filters that stop you from breathing in viruses? It's like having sex with someone who has an STD, if you use proper protection, you have nothing to worry about.

I worry that this virus will embolden the bio-terrorism, because they see how effective it's been at destroying the economy. We need to get ready for the next pandemic, because it might happen in 5 years, instead of the next 100. What is our plan for mitigating the next pandemic? Are we just going to sit on our ass, and go through another shutdown, or are we going to invest in bio-defense so we'll be ready for the next outbreak?

Newsflash. We have a POTUS whose major concerns are when he can get back on one of his golf courses and where his next cheeseburger is coming from. And you want a plan?......lol

If you are Canadian then you are going to suffer the consequences of voting in a obvious Twit as a national leader....TWICE!

People really want to work. If the Min Wage was not so low, they would be happy to work. When the Casinos opened in Detroit the application lines strung out many blocks. Workers know when they are being exploited. Unemployment runs out. You need to find work. Welfare ends in a couple of years. You have to work.
