A little bit OT so this can be moved but question for you Owl if you see this. You're from the St. Louis area correct? Do you have memories of the Pruitt - Igoe development?
I watched a documentary on the Michael Brown killing last night and they got into the history of the area and discussed Pruitt-Igoe. According to the author the housing that was torn down for Pruitt-Igoe to be built had a good number of black home owners which offered them a way to build equity which was lost by this development so he was not a huge fan.
I don't know the history but being a real estate guy I find it interesting. (Urban renewal and public housing projects like Pruitt-Igoe and Cabrini Greens in Chicago were a very mid century thing obviously in America.) I was curious what you may know/think having local roots there.
